This film tells the beginning of the birth of the name of Dracula which is famous for its blood-sucking vampire. In this film, Dracula was originally the name of a kingdom in Transilvania, with its king named Vlad (Luke Evans). Before becoming king Vlad was a Turkish warrior who was greatly feared. Having won the war Vlad returned to his native kingdom and became a prince/king. Vlad only wants to live peacefully with his child and wife (Sarah Gadon) after a dark period which he goes through on the battlefield. But conflicts began to emerge.
Beginning with the discovery of a Turkish army helmet drifting in the river, there is a scratch on the helmet. Vlad and his two colleagues looked for the cause upstream of the river on the mountain. On the mountain Vlad met a very gruesome creature, both of his colleagues killed.
The king of Turkey accused Vlad of killing several of the lost Turkish soldiers and asked Vlad to immediately prepare 1,000 boys to become Turkish soldiers, along with Vlad’s son. Vlad tried to negotiate but failed. The conflict arose when Vlad’s son was forced into the Turkish army and Vlad was insulted, eventually, all Turkish soldiers who picked up Vlad’s son were killed by Vlad.
To anticipate and protect his citizens Vlad made a pact with a terrible creature he met a long time ago on the mountain.
