The film Color Out of Space 2019 was adapted from a short story written by SH.P. Lovecraft. This film has been planned by the director since 2011 but has always been delayed due to the difficulty of funding.
Then in September 2015, it was announced that SpectreVision became a production house for Color Out of Space. This film became Richard Stanley’s first feature film in more than 20 years since the release of The Island of Dr. Moreau (1996).
This film became one of a series of films that were screened in the Midnight Madness segment at the 2019 Toronto International Film Festival, which also became the premiere of Color Out of Space full movie.
Synopsis Color Out of Space
A story of cosmic terror about The Gardners, a family who moved to a remote farming area in rural New England to escape the crowds of the 21st century. They are busy adapting to their new life when a meteorite crashes into their front yard.
The mysterious aerolite seems to melt and infect the soil and the properties of spacetime with strange colors from another world. To their surprise, the Gardner family discovered that these alien powers gradually mutated into every life form they touched … including them (humans).
Nathan Gardner (Nicolas Cage) and his family must fight against extraterrestrial mutant organisms that infect their minds and bodies. It changed their quiet rural life into a nightmare.
